Mr. Kalson has been practicing intellectual property law for about twenty years. He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in the areas of electrical engineering and applied physics, with particular experience in analog and digital circuits, processor architecture, communications, and semiconductor device fabrication. Mr. Kalson is also experienced in patent portfolio management, as well as in preparing legal opinions on infringement, invalidity, and design-around.

Mr. Kalson has also worked as an in-house counsel at Intel, Cymer and Viavi Solutions. While at Intel, he prepared and prosecuted patent applications in digital and analog circuits, computer networking, signal processing and processor architecture. He was also involved with patent portfolio management and patent monetization. While at Cymer, Mr. Kalson managed patent portfolio in the areas of extreme ultraviolet lasers, optics and lithography. While at Viavi Solutions, he was the IP strategist for the Optical Security and Performance Products (OSP) division.

In addition, Mr. Kalson has substantial technical experience as a research engineer in signal processing and communication systems. He has worked at various notable companies, including SPAWAR (formerly Naval Ocean Systems Center), Jet Propulsion Lab, MIT Lincoln Lab and the Institute for Defense Analyses.
