Baxter D. Montgomery MD, scientific Advisor

Dr. Montgomery assists our firm with performing due diligence and clearance work in the medical devices area, particularly in the field of cardiology.  He is a Board Certified Cardiologist who has been practicing and teaching medicine since 1991.  He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Texas in Houston, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the founder and president of the Houston Cardiac Association (HCA), and Executive Director of The Johnsie and Aubary Montgomery Institute of Medical Education and Research. Through these various roles Dr. Montgomery stays on the cutting edge of cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology, nutritional research and practice, specializing in food-driven lifestyle intervention. Besides running a busy medical practice, he is actively involved in both research and teaching (medical students, physicians in training, nurse practitioners and the general public) in the areas of nutritional health, cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology.  Over the years he has acted as Researcher, Cardiovascular Disease Lecturer and Consultant for GlaxoSmithKline, Inc., Novartis, Inc., Biotronic, Inc. and Boston Scientific, Inc. Among other teaching responsibilities he sits on the Teaching Faculty for Cardiology and Electrophysiology Fellows as well as Clinical Advanced Nurse Practitioner Students at The Texas Medical Center.
