Mr. Shah’s intellectual property law practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of domestic, international and PCT patent applications in the electrical, computer and electro-mechanical arts. He also dedicates a portion of his practice to patent and software licensing, due diligence, opinions, IP litigation and obtaining trademarks and copyrights.
His technical experience includes technology areas such as: semiconductors (processing, circuit design, packaging, testing, and assembly); computer architecture and embedded systems; aerospace; consumer and commercial electronics; wireless communications and infrastructure; robotics and machine learning; computer software, mobile applications, and internet-related technologies; medical imaging; display devices; fiber optics, precision measurement devices; pneumatic and hydraulic systems; vibratory structures; process measurement and control systems; surveillance and facial recognition devices; mobile antennas; GPS/satellite communications, maps and location based services; and automatic speech recognition and natural language processing.
In addition, Mr. Shah has prior work experience as a managing director of a hedge fund.
